I like to talk about stuff. I also like to complain about stuff. So, this is my stuff.

Update on Adam's Health

I know how much everyone cares about Adam, so here is an update. He went to a doctor today to make sure this pinched nerve thingie is dealt with properly. She said he should take more time off work and take it easy. She's going to take some X-rays on Thursday. It seems that the swelling has not gone down as much as was anticipated.

She took his blood pressure three times during the exam because it was high the first time and she wanted to be sure she got an accurate reading. The first reading was 130/90 (regular is 120/80, you probably knew that but I didn't so I thought I'd mention it just in case). The second was 160/90 and I don't know what the third reading was. Anyway, he's got some high blood pressure goin' on so the doctor wants him to check it at the pharamacy every day for a week and report back.

She took some blood work, as well. We will know more on Thursday.

Wait, this stuff is usually confidential. But oh, wait - do I care? Nah.

Get Real

If any real people want to comment on the post below, polls are still open. (I know that was really Butchie's sister, I'm talking about the other stuff.)

Polls - The "Weekly" Barb

We at The "Weekly" Barb are interested in the following categories. Please contribute to our polls.

  1. What are the gas prices in your area?
  2. When do you think Bonnie will deliver?
  3. Do you think Beth is having a boy or another girl?
  4. When do you think Butchie will pop the question?
  5. When do you think Adam will pop the question?

Thank you! We appreciate your input!

3 Every Day Essentials

  1. My cell phone - Just like Rebecca said, I don't know how I got along without one. I mean, I don't talk on the phone constantly, but I like to whip it out and call a sister when I'm bored. I also use it to tell time now since I can't seem to find the time to fix my watch. It's one of those watches that has a non-replaceable battery. That takes effort.
  2. Cigarettes - They are just nice to have, really. I could do without them, but not till I'm ready.
  3. The Sims 2 - of which I am surely most ashamed. I need to do something Sim-related, whether it be talking about it to people who couldn't care less, going online to the forums, or playing the actual game. So when I'm at the cottage and I start talking about my alien experiment, just bear with me until I have had my fix. Then politely change the subject as usual. Thank you.

17 Minutes and Counting...

I get to leave work in 17 minutes...

Just need something to do to pass the time...

Oh yeah, on my way home I have to pick up some ice packs for Adam. Do you think they will have them at Bed, Bath, and Beyond? It might be in the Beyond section.

And if I feel like it, I might get some avocados so we can make guacamole tonight. I bought some pre-made guac the other day and Adam didn't like it. He said it was making him nauseous. Really. He is such a baby. It was fine! It was just fake, really fake. What else goes in guacamole? Cilantro, onion, tomato, salt? Is that all? I'll call Beth and ask her.

12 minutes...

I guess I could leave if I really wanted to. I don't know if anyone would really notice or care. But I like it here so I don't want to take my chances. I can't forget to bring my time sheet tomorrow... it's so cool that I get paid on Mondays now with direct deposit... Although I'm sure the banks will be closed this Monday, so I won't get paid until Tuesday... that sucks...

10 minutes...

I kinda want some coffee. But I don't really. I won't have time to finish it. I guess I shouldn't anyway. We had trifle cakes today for our office September birthday party. They were good. Tomorrow the traffic will be AWESOME on the way in but TERRIBLE on the way home. Lovely.

Woah. Debbie just left. I think I can leave now. I only have 7 minutes left, though. Might as well stay ... teehee, somebody just called for Lisa Dwyer and they said "Lisa Drier"... teehee! "No, sorry, she's not in right now, but would you like to speak to Lisa Washer?" I didn't really say that. I'm not that quick on my toes.

5 minutes...

Everybody's leaving. Nobody is going to notice if I leave right now. Oh, did I tell you I got a badge? It's got my picture on it and everything! It's supposed to have a chip in it that opens doors. But I don't need it because they are already unlocked when I get here. It's cool to have, though.

Good thing I didn't leave. A couple of people just walked by that wouldn't really have cared, but they still would have noticed. Wow, this keyboard is really loud. It sounds like I'm doing work or something. But I don't have any work to do, so I never make this sound. Woah.

Okay, 2 minutes left. Screw it. I'm going! (of course, the phone just blew up, so make that 1 minute left... now I'm going!
